Scandal at Aviation Regulator Widens as Another Official Investigated

(Beijing) – A second official at the government body that supervises the aviation industry has become the subject of a corruption investigation this month.
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) said on November 24 on its website that Zhou Laizhen, a deputy director at the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), was being probed for "severe violations of discipline," a phrase the party uses when a cadre gets in trouble for corruption.
