College President Fired for Breaking Rules on Cars, Spending

(Beijing) – The head of a top Chinese media studies college has been removed from his post for breaking Communist Party rules regarding use of cars and spending that have been emphasized since a major anti-graft campaign was launched three years ago.

Su Zhiwu, the president of Communication University in the capital, was punished for "unauthorized use of public cars and offices and misuse of public money to treat guests outside the university," the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) said on November 24.
