(Tianjin) – Owners of unfinished apartments slated for demolition over faulty construction and a property developer scandal are demanding higher compensation offers from the government of the eastern city of Tianjin.

The government has approved razing 11 empty high-rises in two complexes in downtown Tianjin, according to a December 9 report by News 117, an online affiliate of the Communist Party's Tianjin Daily.
