Property Market in Beijing, Shanghai Warm in Week after Holiday

(Beijing) – The property market in China's two biggest cities, especially for second-hand homes, performed well in the first week after a major holiday because people are becoming more optimistic in their view of the market, one expert says.
Slightly more than 6,000 second-hand properties were sold in Beijing from February 14 to 20, the week following the Spring Festival, the major holiday many outside the country know as Chinese New Year, data from 5i5j.com show. The Beijing-based real estate agency says this is the most since 2010.
