CBRC Says Party's Graft Inspection Led to Punishment of Officials

(Beijing) – The China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) has announced that several of its officials were punished as a result of an inspection late last year by the Communist Party's anti-graft agency.

The banking regulator said in a statement on its website on April 26 that a team from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection that visited its offices late last year found that some officials "used their supervisory power to further their personal interests."
