Internet Companies Rev Up Auto Sector Engines

(Beijing) – "Internet search engine" is taking on a whole new meaning now that companies serving online consumers are rapidly expanding into the electric car and driverless vehicle sectors.

Major Internet industry players in China such as search engine giant Baidu and video streaming service provider LeEco have launched ambitious projects in the emerging, but so far commercially untested, consumer arena for automated transportation.
