Regulators Try Leverage Caps to Rein in Risk

(Beijing) – China's securities watchdog is tightening structured asset management product supervision and more closely scrutinizing how money borrowed by investors is channeled into the nation's equity and bond markets.
On July 18, the China Security Regulatory Commission (CSRC) enacted new rules that set leverage caps for structured product investments managed by brokers and asset management firms.
