Did Baidu Obey by Day, Flaunt Rules at Night?

(Beijing) – China's Internet search story is now a tale of two Baidus.

By day, the nation's dominant search engine apparently does its job while playing by the rules, adhering to Cyberspace Administration of China regulation. By night, though, an Internet user's simple search request may trigger a flurry of advertising pop-ups and banners promoting games, services and even illegal gambling.
