The 2017 “China for the World” Belt and Road Forum is brought to you by GE and Caixin Media, China’s leading media group. 2017 marks the fourth consecutive year that GE and Caixin have hosted the event, which is China’s first private-sector forum focusing on supporting Chinese infrastructure companies going global in Belt and Road markets. The forum has consistently provided a platform for industry experts to network, exchange ideas, discuss evolving trends, and forge potential partnerships for Belt and Road projects. It provides a comprehensive view of the industry ecosystem, with guests including government officials, leaders from Chinese infrastructure companies, project end-users, and financiers.
This year’s event focuses on how Chinese companies can take their Belt & Road efforts to the next level with new thinking and new models while making a lasting impact in Belt and Road markets. The forum will open with a plenary session addressing evolving macro-trends, challenges, and models for cooperation along Belt and Road, and follow with sub-forums which provide a deep dive into the applied contexts of regions and sectors. Sub-forums include discussions on market ecology in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Southeast Asia, as well as gas, steam power, renewable energy, and project financing.
