Macy’s has announced plans to close its online retail store at Alibaba’s Tmall Global platform, marking the American retail giant’s full withdrawal from the Chinese market.
Macy’s said it stopped accepting new orders on Dec. 3, and that earlier orders have not been affected. Clients should direct any questions to customer services before Dec. 31, it said.
"In the future, we will continue to serve you through our official U.S. website Macys.com," the company said.
Macy's had previously shut down its brick-and-mortar store in Shanghai in 2015, and its official Chinese website in June this year, according to a Sina Technology report.
