Five people are dead and 21 injured after a person with a knife hijacked a bus today and drove it into pedestrians in Longyan, a city in Fujian province, state-run broadcaster CCTV reported.

A suspect has been detained by police, CCTV said, and the incident is under investigation.

A video from Dwnews showed several injured people lying on the street near a crashed bus and other vehicles. It also shows police wrestling a person to the ground.
