Charts of the Day: E-Commerce App Users Up 35.9% in November
Chinese e-commerce apps had 783 million users in November, up 35.9% from 2017, according to a report by research firm Jiguang.
Jiguang defines users as anyone who has downloaded an e-commerce app, according to the report (link in Chinese) released Wednesday.
Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.’s biggest e-commerce platform, Taobao, had the most daily active users in November, with 197.9 million, according to Jiguang. It was followed by group-buying platform Pinduoduo Inc., with 67.3 million, up 205% year-on-year despite the company facing fire over allegations of selling counterfeit goods after its Nasdaq debut in July. JD.com Inc., China’s second-biggest online retailer by sales, came in third with 38 million.
