It’s not the best of times for Chinese-U.S. corporate relations — especially in telecom, with Huawei as the prime example of how hard it is to undertake transpacific tie-ups. But deals are still being struck.

Phone carrier Sprint said Tuesday it would extend its U.S.-based 5G service to Chinese-made OnePlus phones.

It did not give a date or a price for the service, but this would be OnePlus’ second collaboration with a U.S. carrier. It already offers 5G through T-Mobile.

Sprint 5G is currently available in parts of Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and Kansas City, and it said it expects to launch in areas of Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix and Washington, D.C., in the coming weeks.
