China Slashes More International Flights Amid Covid Resurgence

China suspended 182 international flights from entering China so far this year after a raft of passengers tested positive for Covid-19 as the country scrambles to contain flare-ups ahead of the Winter Olympics
China’s civil aviation regulator this week issued orders (link in Chinese) suspending at least nine international services operated by domestic and overseas carriers, affecting flights from Europe, Canada, the U.S. and Indonesia. The services are to be shelved for two to eight weeks depending on the number of cases of infection found among passengers.
