A 28-year-old employee of ByteDance Ltd., the Chinese owner of popular short-video app TikTok, died after exercising at the company gym, ByteDance said Wednesday.

The incident came just two weeks after the sudden death of a 25-year-old content reviewer at short video platform Bilibili Inc., renewing discussion of high pressure and long working hours in China’s tech sector that has been linked to a number of employee deaths.
