China Urges Insurers to Expedite Claims From Families of Crash Victims

The top insurance regulator in South China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has instructed local insurance firms to launch an emergency response to expedite accident compensation claims related to the China Eastern Airlines flight crash.
The China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission’s Guangxi bureau said local insurance institutions should actively coordinate with government authorities to deal with the accident, and open a “green channel” to facilitate accident claims and follow-ups, state-run media outlet China Banking and Insurance News reported (link in Chinese) Tuesday.
