Shanghai’s Daily Covid Cases Approach Wuhan’s Peak
Shanghai reported more than 13,000 Covid-19 cases on Monday, a new record for the financial hub as it approaches the highest figure reported in Wuhan in early 2020.
It’s the first time that a Chinese city’s daily Covid tally has topped 10,000 since Wuhan largely brought its outbreak under control in March 2020. While the highest figure reported in the Hubei province city was 13,436 on Feb. 12 that year, Covid testing capacity was limited in early 2020.
