(Bloomberg) — Beijing hasn’t recorded any new Covid-19 infections outside of quarantine facilities for four straight days, government officials said Tuesday, indicating that community transmission of the virus may have been stopped.

The city reported two cases Monday, down from six Sunday, and has been rolling back virus restrictions.

Last month the capital was recording several dozen cases a day, stoking concerns of a citywide lockdown. Instead, mass testing and targeted measures such as movement restrictions and work-from-home orders in the most-affected areas helped bring the outbreak under control. Local government authorities, however, warned against complacency, saying risks remain as curbs are eased.
