Two More Bank Regulators Fall in Liaoning Graft Cleanup

An anti-graft storm is sweeping the financial system in northeastern China’s Liaoning province after a flurry of violations and risks were exposed among local lenders.
Two senior banking regulatory officials in Liaoning were expelled from the Communist Party and from public office for major violations, the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) said Thursday. In less than two weeks, the CBIRC has brought down three senior regulators in Liaoning.
