Tencent Adviser Helms Samsung-Backed Insurer in China

What’s new: Ren Huichuan, an insurance veteran and in-house adviser to Tencent Holdings Ltd., has been appointed acting general manager of Samsung Property & Casualty Insurance Co. (China) Ltd., after a Tencent affiliate company became the insurer’s second-largest shareholder.

Ren’s appointment follows the resignation of former General Manager Kil Kyung Sub, per a board decision, the insurer announced earlier this week.
