The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has laid out a clear vision for the country’s development in the next five years and beyond. A report to the congress covers many aspects of the party’s and the country’s work. Its most uplifting message is: “To build a modern socialist country in all respects, we must, first and foremost, pursue high-quality development. Development is our Party’s top priority in governing and rejuvenating China.”
