This weekend, news that workers fled the Foxconn plant in Henan capital Zhengzhou went viral on social media platforms. Short videos, photos and comments about the incident raised numerous opinions and concerns. What happened at the plant?

At 16:23 on Oct. 30, the official WeChat account “Zhengzhou Notices” published an article and posted three notices released by Foxconn’s iDPBG Zhengzhou Pandemic Prevention and Control Team about anti-pandemic measures, such as “point-to-point” delivery with pre-arranged vehicles by local government in the central China province.
