U.S. blacklists more Chinese techs firms
The U.S. Department of Commerce on Thursday added dozens of Chinese tech companies including flash memory chipmaker Yangtze Memory Technologies Co. Ltd. and semiconductor equipment manufacturer Shanghai Micro Electronics Equipment Group Co. Ltd. to its so-called entity list, meaning that anyone seeking to supply them with U.S. technologies will first need a license from Washington.
