China’s Electric Car Exports Surge to Record on European Demand

(Bloomberg) — Exports of electric vehicles from China more than doubled in November to set a monthly record, mostly fueled by European carmakers that farmed out production to China.
Car manufacturers in China exported $3.2 billion of electric vehicles in November, up 165% from a year earlier, data from the nation’s customs authority showed. Belgium, England and other European countries were the biggest importers, receiving nearly 70% of shipments.
