Geely Unit Moves a Step Closer to Taking EVs to the Sky

A flying car developed by a unit of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. Ltd. moved a step closer to taking to the sky as authorities initiated an airworthiness examination.
Geely-backed Aerofugia said Thursday that the Civil Aviation Administration of China convened a type certificate board (TCB) meeting in Chengdu, Sichuan province, where the company is based. The board is to evaluate the company’s AE200, a manned five-seat electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle. The craft is designed for intercity travel, the company said.
