Although ChatGPT isn’t directly available on the Chinese market yet, its release has ignited a new round of enthusiasm for artificial intelligence (AI) in the country. A host of Chinese tech giants like Alibaba and Baidu, as well as established AI companies like Iflytek and SenseTime, have all announced plans to release ChatGPT challengers.
