A growing number of sexual harassment allegations against Chinese screenwriter Shi Hang have gone viral on Chinese social media since last week, sparking a discussion about the role of consent and power imbalance in workplace relationships.

The allegations from about 20 women have caused the 52-year-old, a prominent name in China’s literary and artistic community, to lose business partnerships.
