A senior executive of China Agricultural Bank, one of the country's biggest state-owned lenders, was expelled from the Communist Party and dismissed from public office as a corruption crackdown continues to sweep through the financial sector.
Yang Guang, the bank’s chief expert and head of its corporate business and investment banking departments, now faces criminal charges of corruption, the country’s top graft buster said Thursday. Yang, 66, came under investigation in November.
