Cyberspace Watchdog Official Picked to Lead China’s Media Regulator

What’s new: China has named Cao Shumin, vice minister of the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) and a veteran researcher in the telecommunications field, to lead the country’s top media regulator.
According to the National Radio and Television Administration’s (NRTA) website, Cao is currently the director and party chief of the NRTA as well as the deputy head of the publicity department of the party’s Central Committee.
