What’s new: South Korean footballer Son Jun-ho, a player in the Chinese Super League, has been detained in China on allegations of bribery, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Tuesday.
“A South Korean citizen was recently detained by the public security authorities of Liaoning province on suspicion of accepting bribes as a non-state employee,” foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a daily briefing when asked about Son’s situation.
