The list of disgraced officials brought down by China’s sweeping anti-corruption crackdown on the state tobacco monopoly continued expanding as yet another former senior executive in southwestern China’s Yunnan province came under investigation.
Wu Yi, a former deputy general manager of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co. Ltd., was placed under investigation “on suspicion of serious violation in law and discipline,” the Communist Party’s Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said Tuesday in a statement.
