Guangzhou Auto Unveils Electric Flying Car, Joining Peers in Rush to the Skies

What’s new: State-owned Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. Ltd. (GAC) has unveiled an electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL) that can also run on streets, becoming the latest automaker to tap a technology which some believe can revolutionize aerial transportation and logistics.

Dubbed GOVE, the eVTOL vehicle features a futurist design where a passenger drone outfitted with six rotors is attached to a four-wheeled chassis, which can also be detached to meet the needs of both air and road travel, GAC said during its annual Tech Day event held on Monday.
