The U.S. and China agreed to continue intensive climate talks to promote cooperation between the world’s two largest greenhouse gas emitters and help make the upcoming COP28 climate summit a success, according to U.S. climate envoy John Kerry.

Future talks will aim to reach mutually agreeable ways of accelerating the transition to renewable energy and further reducing non-carbon dioxide emissions, such as methane, Kerry said at a news conference in Beijing on Wednesday.
