Chinese NEV industry hits back at EU anti-subsidy probe

China’s Ministry of Commerce Thursday denounced the probe, saying in a statement that it would disrupt and distort the global automotive supply chain, including the EU, and have a “negative effect” on trade ties between China and Europe.

Chinese automakers are competitive because of their manufacturing and supply chain efficiencies rather than government subsidies, a person from the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products told Caixin.
