China’s NEV industry fires back at EU over subsidy probe

The China Chamber of Commerce to the EU argued Wednesday that Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers don’t have an industry edge due to government subsidies, but from “pushing the boundaries of innovation.”

The statement, one of several from the Chinese industry and government, was a response to the EU’s decision to launch an investigation into whether manufacturers of new-energy vehicles (NEVs) in China are benefitting from immense state subsidies.
