European Chamber Calls for ‘Clearer’ Legislation, Less ‘Erratic’ Policymaking From Beijing

A European business group in China said reducing ambiguity in legislation and refraining from sudden policy changes could help boost confidence among its members, according to a new position paper.
The annual European Business in China Position Paper, released this week, contained more than 1,000 recommendations from the European Chamber of Commerce in China. Among them, the chamber suggested that Beijing improve the reliability of the country’s regulatory environment and ensure “transparent, consistent and predictable” administrative processes to make the domestic market more attractive.
