What’s new: Chinese lawmakers are considering revising the country’s infectious disease control law to improve the outbreak reporting system and prohibit anyone from interfering with case reports, a move aimed at filling in gaps that risk the spread of illness that endanger people’s lives.
On Friday, a draft revision of the Law on Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases was submitted for consideration to the ongoing session of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC), China’s top legislature.
