What’s new: China’s cabinet has announced plans to launch a sweeping inspection campaign next month to tackle issues hindering economic development, especially ones affecting private enterprises.
The State Council is seeking public help to provide tips on cases where government agencies impose arbitrary fines, treat private firms in a discriminatory manner that favors state-owned enterprises, or apply criminal measures to intervene in economic disputes, a statement released Monday said.
