Myanmar Turns Three Top Telecom Scammers Over to China

What’s new: Authorities in Myanmar handed over three top leaders of a telecom fraud syndicate to China as part of a cross-border crackdown on rampant scams.

Police in East China’s Zhejiang province issued wanted notices for four leaders of a telecom fraud gang in Myanmar’s Kokang region. Myanmar police arrested Ming Guoping, Ming Julan and Ming Zhenzhen Wednesday night. The fourth person, Ming Xuechang, committed suicide while being arrested, according to Myanmar’s embassy in Kunming.
