A Beijing court on Monday began hearing lawsuits filed by relatives of dozens of Chinese passengers aboard Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which went missing over the Indian Ocean nearly a decade ago.

The hearings at the Chaoyang District People’s Court will last until Dec. 6, several relatives told Caixin. The families of more than 40 Chinese passengers are suing the airline and its insurer Allianz SE, airplane-maker Boeing Co., and engine maker Rolls-Royce Holdings Plc for damages or to set up a fund to restart search efforts, among other things, the relatives said.
