China Orders Six Provinces to Get Data Fabrication Under Control

China’s top statistics authority told six provinces they must take steps to curb data fabrication, after it completed a round of special inspections.
The inspections, which took place from late July to early August, found problems including cooking the books, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said in a Thursday announcement.
The six provinces targeted are Shaanxi, Hebei, Hunan, Heilongjiang, Guizhou and Henan.
