China’s Top Legislative Body Ousts Nine Senior Military Officers

What’s new: Nine senior military officers, including three generals, have been ousted from China’s National People’s Congress (NPC), according to a statement released Friday by the top legislative body, without elaborating.

The officers include three from the Central Military Commission (CMC), the country’s top military decision-making body, four from the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Rocket Force, and one each from the PLA Air Force and PLA Navy.
