What’s new: The University of Macau is to build a new campus in Hengqin, a small island in Guangdong under development as part of China’s Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area plan, the school’s rector Song Yonghua revealed Sunday at the university’s open day.

The new campus will cover about 1.09 square kilometers, half the size of the original campus, Song said.
