What’s new: Liu Lixian, a veteran anti-graft official who headed the disciplinary task force at Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), was expelled from the Communist Party for accepting large amounts in bribes.
Liu hid his overseas immigrant status from the government, accepted bribes in exchange for providing benefits for others seeking job promotion and interfered in market economic activities, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), China’s top anti-graft body, said Friday in a statement.
