Former Deputy General Manager of China Taiping Insurance Prosecuted for Bribery

What’s new: Xiao Xing, former deputy general manager of state-owned China Taiping Insurance Group Ltd. was prosecuted for taking an extraordinary amount in bribes, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate said Monday.
Xiao’s crimes began when he worked at Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League and ran through his career at China Life Insurance Co. Ltd. and Taiping Insurance Group Ltd., the procuratorate said in a statement. He took advantage of his power through these jobs to seek benefits for others in exchange for particularly huge amounts of bribes, the procuratorate said.
