U.S. Lawmakers Seek Sanctions on Chinese Carmakers for ‘Aiding Russian Military’

A bipartisan bill that would impose sanctions on Chinese automakers purported to have provided material support to the Russian military was introduced by U.S. lawmakers on Wednesday.

The bill, introduced by a group of House Representatives led by Mike Gallagher, the top House China hawk who is also behind the proposed TikTok ban, calls for Internet-connected vehicles with Chinese technology to be stopped from entering U.S. military bases.
