Singapore Gives Nod to Greater Workplace Flexibility

The Singaporean government has accepted recommendations for guidelines that lay out how employees should request flexible work arrangements and how employers should handle them.
The mandatory guidelines will establish the proper norms and expectations for flexible work arrangements between employees and employers, making it easier for employees to request these arrangements, while acknowledging that employers retain the prerogative to decide on work arrangements, according to a press release from Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower. The guidelines will take effect Dec. 1
