SenseTime Unveils Cantonese AI Chatbot That Becomes Free to Use on July 1

China’s SenseTime Group Inc. released a Cantonese version of its AI chatbot SenseChat, which will be free to the public as of July 1.
The Cantonese chatbot is part of SenseTime’s new large artificial intelligence model Sense Nova launched last month as the first in the market to support the understanding of Cantonese slang.
At the release event Wednesday, Xu Li, executive chairman and CEO of Sensetime Group, highlighted the importance of integrating regional cultural differences into generative AI models. By launching the Cantonese version of SenseChat, Sensetime aims to serve local culture and address existing gaps.
