Provincial Executive Vice Governor Hit With Graft Probe

What’s new: Li Shisong, executive vice governor of Southwest China’s Yunnan province, has been placed under a graft investigation for “serious violations of discipline and law,” the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) announced Tuesday in a brief statement that didn’t elaborate.
Li, 55, is the first alternate member of the current 20th Communist Party of China Central Committee to fall under a corruption probe. The Central Committee, the party’s highest body of authority, consists of 205 full member and 171 alternates.
