The conditions for Russia-Ukraine negotiations are not yet “ripe,” but Beijing supports all efforts to work toward a political resolution to the war, China’s top diplomat said during a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi made the comments during Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba’s first visit to China since Russia invaded its neighbor in February 2022, as the pair met in Guangzhou on Wednesday.
